Getting Wild in the Rockies!

Our Style:

First of all, our trips are for ALL LEVELS OF EXPERIENCE! You should not at all feel intimidated to join us, we love beginners! Truly.

First and foremost, WildWaters Guiding puts emphasis on creating a memorable and enjoyable experience over anything else. Our trips are not about catching the biggest fish or the most fish but rather about bringing you to the most amazing locations and having a great time. That said, we’re gonna help you catch some great trout! No camping experience is needed, either. We can help you get outfitted properly!

Highlights:

  • Seven full days of fly fishing.
  • Remote destinations only accessible by 4×4 vehicles.
  • No less than 5 unique locations, including canyon rivers.
  • Some of the best camping Colorado has to offer.
  • Expect to catch all 4 trout species!

Itinerary:

If needed, we will meet you and pick you up at the Denver Airport on the morning August 2nd. From the airport, we will head out to our first fishing and camping destination outside of Georgetown, CO. From there we will fish and camp across the SW quadrant of Colorado, everywhere from Aspen to Lake City. Some days we will camp in the same location for two nights, giving ourselves a chance to relax a little, but there will be a lot of moving.

Our last day of fishing will be Saturday, August 9th. We’ll wake up early on the morning of the 10th and get people to the airport if needed.

We will provide the exact itinerary to those who book the trip.

What you should know:

Activity: Hiking will generally be minimal (a mile or less each day) with the exception of one day, but you should be in good physical shape as the terrain is very rugged. This is not an ideal trip for anyone with mobility issues or anyone who lacks at least a little hiking experience.

*Camping: We will provide certain camping amenities such as a portable fridge/freezer to share, a portable heated outdoor shower, a two-burner propane stove and cookware, propane, a pocket stove for boiling water, first-aid kits, and an axe and saw for firewood. You are expected to bring all other camping gear including a tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, camp chair, headlamp, etc.

Food: Food is not provided but we will make a couple stops at the grocery store!

Fishing expectations: We will target all four trout species commonly found in Colorado: brook trout, brown trout, rainbow trout, and native cutthroat trout. We will fish everything between heavily-forested small creeks to medium-sized rivers in canyons. For the most part we will be targeting wild creeks with wild trout, but there will be a couple opportunities to fish for larger trout in areas that are stocked. No lakes on the itinerary but we might fish one or two. You will absolutely catch fish!!

Transportation: We will do the driving! One or two of our locations involve rugged off-roading on 4×4 trails. It’s not suggested that you drive your own vehicle unless you have a proper off-roader with high clearance.

Payments/Cancellations: All of your initial deposit (18% percent of total price +tax)(~$300) is non-refundable. Full payment must be made by June 2nd, 2025. Any cancellations within 60 days of the trip will not receive their payment back as it is very difficult to fill the space on that short of notice. If we are able to fill your spot, we will provide you with a full refund, minus the initial deposit. If an emergency arises we will do our very best to work with you as we understand things can happen.
